Thirsty Heart

...There is a reward for anyone who dilligently seek God- Jesus! ( Heb 11:6) Jesus is saying;" seek me, and you will find me, when you seek me with all your heart "

..and in the book of Psalms it is written; « all you who seek God, your hearts shall live!» ( Psalm 69:22)

Seeking and going on seeking.. I find it very frustrating to seek or look for anything for a long period of time- if I dont find what I look for, I at some point give up the search.

Likevise in our relationship with our Creator it is fun and a delight to seek Him if the reward is immediately there- if HE and His presence is there, if prayers are answered and good things are happening, but how to seek Him when he is not?..

how do we continue to seek Him when his presence is not there, when any reward seem far away?..It is easy to then give up seeking Him, and in frustrations believe that he has left and forgotten about me.

If we do stop seeking after Him our hearts no longer live, our heart go dark in depression, despair or into self seeking / self serving things.

If our hearts are busy with self seeking, then we no longer seek after God with our whole heart- at the best only partly.

If I stop believing that God is going to reward me somehow for seeking Him, then why seek Him?..we all seek after rewards, comforts, a good life..and we want to have what we seek as fast as possible.

Jesus tell us to seek him, not for a night, not for a day, not for a week, not for a year..but all the time, every year of our life- none stop, in all that we do, having a heart that continually seek after HIM.

if there is a reward or not, answered prayers or not, ..that is what seeking God really means, and those who do seek him like this- will be rewarded, will have a heart full of life, will find God..because HE is the life, HE is the reward, HE is...
